| Bio: | Character: Skuld Series/Fandom: Ah, My Goddess. Original or Alternate: Original. Age: Appears around 15. Actual age is thousands upon thousands of years. Gender: Female Species: Goddess Sexuality: Bisexual Appearance: She appears around 15. She has long black hair that goes to her waist. She has light brown eyes with a healthy skin tone. She's a bit short for her age appearance and has a rather boyish figure, but is still rather cute. She doesn't care much for her appearance and rarely does any primping except to make sure her hair is brushed so it's easier to control. She usually wears boyish clothes and if she wears girl type clothes, they will be something easy to move in. Her preferred colors are pink, red, and green. She usually has gloves with her as well. Her oddest traits are the markings on her face. A sort of upside down blue egg with a hole in the middle is on her forehead and on her cheeks just to the side of her eyes. They are markings for the future in Nordic mythology. Personality: She is quite often, with a lack of a better word, a brat. She'll whine, she'll cry, she'll pout, sulk, and throw a tantrum. However, she is not always like this. She does have a wiser side to her that has formed over her years of life though her childish personality still stuck. She does eventually learn from her mistakes and she does generally try to be a good person. If she cares about someone, she will do what she thinks she can to make them feel better. And if anyone is having trouble with a machine of any level, she will do whatever she can to fix it. And probably improve it. Which usually involves weapons. Skuld is rather dependant on her older sister, Belldandy. Belldandy has been trying to help Skuld find her independence in the last few years and she had gained some of it. However, she still finds she needs the guidance and help her older sister provides. Skuld is also very stubborn. Once she sets her mind on something, she does it and will keep going no matter what. At least, now anyway. She believes she can do things without her sister being needed to save her. Skuld is creative and innovated. She can make a machine for most anything and everything. Though, she hates to make machines that have no function at all. Like one that lights up for absolutely no reason or just rolls around. Skuld is limited in her magic, but she has no limits when it comes to machines. Abilities/Strengths: She can make most anything as long as she can get something to be the parts. She can turn a toaster into a small battle robot if she wanted too. She can solve most any equation or technical problem. She can also fly and have various extra sensory perceptions, though most are quite weak when they don't involve her element. She isn't able to do much magic beyond traveling through warm/hot water and making words appear on people's skin for several hours. She can levitate items, but she can't move anything too heavy. Her powers are growing stronger under her control, but she still has a long way to go. She also has some goddess traits such as immortality. She can be killed, but she doesn't get sick unless she does something big with her magic and doesn't eat ice cream and she is eternally youthful. She also doesn't actually need sleep. It's just recommended. Weapons: A debugger hammer. It's usually made for bugs for the Yggdrasil System, but she can do a few other things with it. Mostly knocking people out. She also has bombs, rockets, laser guns, and whatever weapon/device she can make to whatever parts she can find, though she always has a few bombs on hand. There is also her Angel, Noble Scarlet. Recently hatched, she doesn’t know how to use the power she provides affectively. She’s the only one who can understand her and Noble Scarlet needs Skuld to survive. Weaknesses: She is far from an expert on magic. She is still rather childish. She can't stand machines that have no real function. Demons. She also has a tendency to not explain her inventions or ends up having an imbalance by having too much power without a proper structure to withstand it. There is her moral code. Though it doesn't seem like much, as a goddess, it's part of her programming. She can't lie, though she can avoid the truth, she can hurt people, but she can't be brutal, and truly, it's quite hard for her to kill anyone. Energy source. Being a Goddess on Earth, she does not hold her power in her body, but instead, gets it from a connection to the Heavens. If her connection with Yggdrasil is severed, she does have two alternative energy sources. One being moon rocks. The other is ice cream, but she has to eat that almost constantly. If she does not, she will get older and older until she's like an old lady. Though, it will take a while since it's magic use that causes this to act fast. Her arrogance and element. She is a Goddess of the Future. Being as such, she still has the attitude of being a 'superior' being and judging by how the future is, it can affect her personality if she's not careful. Noble Scarlet. If Skuld’s angel is forcibly removed, she will be rendered unconscious. Noble Scarlet is able to switch hosts, but it needs a Goddess’s power to do anything and whoever hosts her has to be Goddess, Demon, or love a Goddess. History: Skuld doesn't really talk much about her past and she doesn't confirm which of the human myths about her are true or not true. Though, some things do slip out. (This is not canon, but just a way to get around that whole being an Ancient goddess thing.) Skuld is a Debugger for the Yggdrasil and one of the more competent goddesses when it comes to the technology in the System. Though she is not a head administrator, she is still highly ranked and trusted when it comes to the System. What is the System? The System is how the Gods and Goddesses of Nordic myths now run their order. The System does many things. They keep balance on Earth, watch the fate of the planet, and in special cases, make more personal adjustment for people such as granting wishes. It was this department Skuld's sister, Belldandy, worked in. After she granted a wish of a young Keiichi Morisato who was always plagued with misfortune, she stayed on Earth to stay by his side. Skuld, however, did not like this. At first she kept going about her job, making sure the System was bug free, but then she realized Belldandy was not going to come back and after Urd's disappearance, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She went to Earth to convince, and even trick, her older sister into returning to the heavens. However, after she realized Belldandy did not want to leave, she decided to stay on Earth as a 'chaperone.' Over the years, Skuld has grown to care a bit about Keiichi. Even getting a bit of a crush, but she won't admit that under any torture. Even on Earth she has been trying to improve her control of magic. It's growing slowly, but after a while, she did find the key. To care about humanity, to care for others, is what it means to be a true Goddess. Skuld's control hasn't grown much beyond travel through water, flight, and a name imprinting until she met Sentaro. Sentaro is the boy who helped her learn to ride a bike and her first full-fledged crush. It was with her emotions for him that her power started to grow. It was thanks to him she was able to hatch her Angel Egg into Noble Scarlet. However, she still has a bit to go and because of her own weakness, Noble Scarlet was turned into an egg again. Though, perhaps her powers can be seen in her inventions that are made with her emotions in mind. First is Banpei who she made to protect her sister (and keep Keiichi away from her). Not too long after Banpei's creation, he was able to do actions against his programming. As Belldandy put it, it seemed Banpei had formed a soul. Then there's Sigel who was made some time after Banpei. Sigel was just a store automaton. She just greeted and that was it. However, after seeing Banpei's feelings for the simple machine, Skuld recovered it after it was sent to the junkyard, thanks to Keiichi's boss, and made her into a full fledge android for her cherished invention and friend. Sigel also displayed having traits of a soul. How? The fact the android instantly hated Banpei and wouldn't get along with him no matter what Skuld said. Both Banpei and Sigel have shown the ability to feel emotions such as hate, love, and jealousy, and the fact that they seem to grow in their personalities and how they think. Skuld says they are her greatest creations. Perhaps they are so great because of the feelings Skuld put into their creation beyond just her normal love of machines. Skuld recently hatched Noble Scarlet properly. Skuld has developed enough power and control over it to her summon her angel and after a heartfelt wish for her to appear when faced with the Angel Eater, Skuld has reached real Goddess-status. However, Skuld doesn’t know how to do the complex magic her angel mainly helps her with and still has a long way to go before being able to control her magic beyond just full out force. An option she does not wish to use unless the situation really is a do or die.
